Wyncenty Kozak was born on 4 July, 1844 in Spytkowice to Wawrzyniec (Lawrence) Kozak and Anna Gwiazdon. Wyncenty married Rozalia Jakala, daughter of Jozef Jakala and Anna Tomczyk in the village of Malejowa, in the parish of Jordanowo on 10 Aug 1869. Wincenty Kozak was listed as an agricola, (Latin for farmer) on his marriage record.
Wawrzyniec Kozak was born 1817 to Jan Kozak and Marianna Mucha. He married Anna Gwiazdon, daughter of Tomasz Gwiazdon and Marianna Tybula, on 21 Feb, 1847 in Spytkowice.
Franciszek Kozak possibly moved to the city or district of Zielone Gora (Green Mountain) prior to immigrating to America. His son always told him that he was from there. But there is no Zielona Gora anywhere near Spytkowice.
Franciszek immigrated to Quebec, Canada first and then to the U.S. through Detroit on 2 July, 1910 aboard a train belonging to the Canadian Pacific railroad. This was a common practice because it was cheaper to get a ticket to Canada than to America. He became a citizen on 6 May 1935. He lived at 8712 South exchange and worked as an oiler in the steel industry.
Franciczek Kozak married Anna Pruss on 26 Feb 1916 in, Holy Innocents parish in Chicago, IL. She was born on 4 Jan 1889 in Bielcza, just west of Krakow.
