To The Honorable Duke ,
Tadeusz Polkowski replied to a letter he received on 17 December from Grodno and
commented that the other letter he received on 10 Nov from Mr. Biallepiotrowicz
(?) . He was very outraged reading the news in these letters; the Bernardins
convent complained against Polkowski . Tadeusz Polkowski explained that all
these stories were false and this convent's target was to take over his real
estate and pushed him to leave his land. He mentioned about Ledziszki * land
which belonged for numerous years to "our" heritage. Polkowski informed him
about receipts from Siekierski and Makiewicz . Biellopietrowicz was a prosecutor
who also was ashamed of the Bernardin's accusations. Polkowski described all the
payments/bills he had paid . He was indignant by Bernandin's behavior and
considering his merits and noble status - he didn't expect such provocation
which humiliated his heart .
