The Nobility of the Tayno Estate

Lustracje dz. XVIII, describes the Knyszyn Starosty inventory. On page 601 the Tayno Lease was at that moment in Donhoff's possesion - a starosty of Starogard by King Jan Kazimierz's privilage . Lord Jan Donhoff and his wife Elzbieta Bidoff from Warsaw, dated on 20 July 1661 , - she settled down in TAYNO village on wloka 59 , between the voyt's wlokas. At that time the voyt was Jan Bołąkowski who was given this position after his father Krzysztof Bołąkowski on 25 Sep 1639, Krzystof received this privilege "wloki wybranieckie" by King Zygmunt III for his war service.

The third son of Ernest Denhoff, Castellan of Dorpat, was Jan Denhoff, dworzenin and Colonel, bodyguard of His Majesty the King, with his wife was Elzbieta Bulow  had a son Władisław, who became the Starosta of Nowogard (near Gdansk) and a Colonel in his majesty's army. Władisław Denhoff married Elżbieta Sobieski, a close cousin to King Jan Sobieski. They had two children- Konstancja Denhoff and Franciszek Michal Denhoff.

Konstancja Denhoff had three husbands:

  1. Kazimierz Wielhorski.

  2. Stefan Potocki in 1696. Stefan Potocki and Konstancja Denhoff  had two children- Joachim Potocki and Ignacy Potocki.

  3. Adam Jozef Lubowiecki.

Franciszek Michał Denhoff, after the death of his father became the Starosta of Starograd and later the Master of the Hunt of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Franciszek Michał Denhoff's  wife was Anna Ożga, widow after Jerzy Wielhoski, Castellan of Wołyń.2.

Elzbieta z Sobieska Denhoff, widow of Władisław Denhoff later married to Jan Gorzeński, the Master of the Hunt of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania 4.

The inventory of Tajno Lease, in the Podlasie province in Bielsk Land, after the death of  The Honorable Mrs Elzbieta Gurszynska, The  "Master of the Hunt" of  The Grand Duchy of  Lithuania,  the Starosta of Starogard and received by  the Honorable Referendarz ( royal judge) Borens and it was written by himself  as a  Commissioner of  His Majesty on  4  July 1698.


Karwoski/Swiderski/Rostkowski

Anna Rostkowski nee Swidersrki 2nd Marriage to General Antoni Rostkowski.. Her1st Husband was Andzrej Karwowski Her 2nd husband was General Antoni Rostkowski (died in 1807), a general in the Crown Army. They were married in Taienko (Tajenko) on 7 February, 1758. Anna Rostkowska died in Tajenko on 3 Oct 1811. She was listed as Wielka Anna Rostkowska wife of Major General of the Crown Army.  She was 84 years old. (LDS film 057214, record 201).

The year 1758 7 February, I Joannes Olszewski Propositus Barglow (recorder of Barglow) after banns before our Lord had no objections, joined in marriage Perillustrem Maginificaus Dominus (Very Distinguished, Magnificent Lord) Antoni Roskowski, General of the Republic with Perillustra Magnifica Domina ((Very Distinguished, Magnificent Lady) Anna Karwowska,  vexilifera terra Viznensis (wife of the standard bearer of Wizna district). Witnesses were Magnificent Lord Stanislaw Karwowski, Venetor Terra Bielsensis (master of the hunt of Bielsk district.) and Magnificent Lord Adam Smolenski, Thesaureus Terra Ziewscis (Treasurer of Ziwcis district).

1798 Tayno Lease Letter

On 9 January1798, Anna Rostkowska wrote a letter t the authorities agreeing to a new tax regulation but kindly asked to keep her old lease rates of her three year lease due to her old age. The letter was received on 15 January, 1798. (Thanks to Iwona Dakiniewicz)

 

Anna Rostkowska Death Record

This was written on her death record from 1811, (translated from Polish by Jay Orbik).

Tajenko- In the year 1811 on  the 5th day of the month of October, before the clerk of the civil records office in the gmina (community) of Barglow, powiat (county) of Biebrza, department of Lomza, appeared Stanislaw Karwowski, captain in the Polish Army from Winski? Solistowka in the gmina of Raygrod and Franciszek Karwowski Captain in the territory of Wizki, from the village of Wolka in the gmina of Barglow, sons of the deceased owner, living on the Tajno Estate who died on 3 October at four in the afternoon in the Manor house at Tajenko at number one (house number?) the Wielmożna (Honorable) Anna Rostkowska-  generalowna (wife of a general), 83 years old, wife of Wielmożiego (Honorable) Andrzej Karwowski, captain in the Wizki land, first marriage, later to Wielmożiego (Honorable) Antoni Rostkowski, general of the Crown Army from the village of Wilamowo, gmina of Ramany, daughter of Wielmożiego (Honorable) Felicyan Swiderski, stolnik of Wiski land from the village of Nieckowo, gmina of Wasosz, living there and Ewa Staniszewski. The record was signed by Stanislaw and Franciszek Karwowski.

The Possessor of the Wojtowstwo in Tajno  in 1710  was Michał Jankowski and his wife Elżbieta Bołąkowski, part of an old family from Tajenko.

Marriage on 2 Jan, 1707 of Michał Jankowski de Parafia Rajgród to Helisabeth Bołękowska de Tayno. Witeneses were Tomasz Smolenski and Onufry Wysocki. Record # 64.

Birth 22 Jan, 1719 of Paweł, son of Jan Bołąkowski and Anna Szostak.

Birth 1722 in Tajno of Andreas, son of Nobilis Jan Bołąkowski and Anna Szostakowski. Godparents were Level Andrzej Klimontowski and Nobilis Krystyna Rydzewska.

The Possessor of the Wojtowstwo in Tajno from 1744 to 1794 was Adam Smolenski and his wife Anna Karwowski. (page 229).

In 1790 two houses were owned by Adam Smolenski, skarbnik, wojt of Tajenko, from the village of Smolens in the district of Ciechanow (was already in Gorski in 1768) 2 houses of Jozef Zaleski and 1 house  of Jerzy Gorski. & Srebrowski
