"Franciszek Murkowski, lives at 1326 W. Division Street. He came  to Chicago in 1872 and  was a parishioner of St.  Stanislaw Kostka from that moment and  took active part in all parish affairs. He was a member of the committee, till the new priest Fr Gordon came, while the Upper Church was building, he collected  donations. He belonged to  upper choir. Now he is  a member of  Blessed Lady Society in the 2nd Union and of others.  On the 6th  November 1916 - he celebrated his 50th  Golden Anniversary of  his marriage,  now he is  in age of 76 and still  is active in parish affairs as much as his energy allows."
